You are in the attic. Since this house doesn't have a communal living room, this is the next best thing. In the main area are two old couches, saved from the skip, and a two TVs displaying the same image. There is a clock on the wall running backwards.
Behind one of the couches is a small electronics lab. Next to the couch is a computer playing the music you can hear throughout the rest of the house.
There is a trapdoor with a ladder leading down and a small skylight overlooking the terrace.
